Welcome to Portland, the city of weird creatives!
Fun facts:
Here are some of our favorite places to visit for food and fun!
Harlow is a cheerful juice bar and cafe where you can bring a book or a pile of friends to sit beneath plants. 100% gluten free and vegan, the food and drink are perfect for a rainy afternoon and a hefty appetite.
Recommended favorite dish: Quesadillas with the garlic tahini sauce.
Jade Teahouse is the place you want to go if you're hoping to walk in a quaint area with colorful houses and quirky shops. Jade itself has a plethora of steaming noodle dishes and sumptuous sandwiches. There are gluten free and vegan options here.
Recommended dish: Fresh Wide Rice Noodles with beef
Blossoming Lotus is a small NE treasure. From their dazzling juices to their dripping vegan cheeseburger, Blossoming Lotus is 100% vegan, and will remind you that food can indeed brighten your day. Gluten free options are also available.
Recommended dish: Cheeseburger with the Immune in Tune juice.
P.S. Blossoming Lotus is the site of Rebekah and Lindsay's first "not date."
Dick's Primal Burger is the restaurant you need at the end of a long hike. Good for quick dine in or quick take out, their burgers and fries are scrumptious. Gluten free buns are available, and all fries are gluten free.
Recommended dish: we always build our own burgers and have yet to be disappointed.
Also note that when you order take out, they won't start your fries until you're in the building. That way you can take home piping hot fries.
Khao Tai is the restaurant for thai food fanatics. Rebekah and Lindsay have searched through many Thai restaurants to find the best fried rice and pad thai Portland has to offer. Look no more, wedding guests. Khao Thai's dishes will leave you content and snuggly after eating only half a serving.
Recommended dish for biggest delicious left overs: Pad Thai with chicken, add broccoli
